The first Still Life Object I arranged and took pictures of was colored pencils. First, I lined all of the colors up diagonally without order. Then I reorganized them into colors and stacked them after. I played with all the different filters and chose Colored Pencil, Cutout, and Film Grain because they really popped out to me. I chose to use colored pencils because I tend to use them a lot for coloring and it's an easy object to take still life pictures of. Next I used cookies as my still life objects. I personally chose cookies because they are one of my favorite treats and they always make you happy. I really wanted to focus on the texture of the cookies and by zooming in and adding filters I feel like I achieved that. For the filters on the cookies, I chose to use the Palette Knife, Plastic Wrap and Water Paint to really bring out the texture. After the cookies I chose to snap pictures of these little cute pumpkin decorations in my house. Since it is coming close to Halloween I felt like it was necessary to bring the theme to my still life pictures. I wanted to really bring the spooky vibes to my pictures so I used the Colored Pencil, Neon Glow, and Film Grain filters on the pumpkins to give them that extra boost. Next I chose to use different dessert pastries in my pictures. This weekend we were in the Detroit area for my sister's soccer tournament. We just stopped by and purchased some amazing treats at this pastry shop. It was so hard to hold myself back from eating the treats before taking my pictures. For the treats I wanted to make them like pop out and catch the viewers eyes so I used the Sparkle Paint Daubs, Smudge Stick, and Neon Glow filters to do so. Lastly, I chose to take pictures of a broken pottery bowl with all it's pieces. Sometime last year my dad accidentally bumped into the bowl and it fell of the table and broke. It really had no purpose since them but I thought it looked really cool split into different pieces. I used the Sponge, Fresco, and Poster Edges Filters on the pictures to bring out the color and design of the bowl.
