My double exposure image, "Autumn Veins", gives you a new sense of adventure. By changing the brightness and contrast of the image, I made my eyes really stick out to the viewers, which can convey emotion. In this case the emotion is mysterious, which then leads you to develop questions. Your questions then lead to fining the answer, and in this case the answer is adventure. The background image is a picture of beautiful trees with colorful leaves. I used the tree branches almost as veins on my face, so the background really blends good with my portrait. The leaves on the tree also look like they could be an outline of my hair. Overall, I blended the background and my portrait way better than the blending of my Selfie Collage. On my Selfie Collage I made earlier in the year, the pictures were more just placed and cut out on blank areas around my portrait. These pictures just look like they were basically placed there, where my Double Exposure image, the background looks like it belongs with the portrait. After looking at "Autumn Veins", I just want to go out in the woods and just explore. Walking under the colorful leaves just makes you feel happy and calm because it really shows the beauty of life. After all the different styles of photography we have done so far, I have really show'd the viewers that I always look for adventure. Instead of just sitting at home, you should go out and explore because there is so much in life that you haven't seen. For my visual ethnography, double exposure adds nature and my affection for it. Without nature we wouldn't have these beautiful landscape photos, which is personally my favorite. In my opinion, "Autumn Veins" is one of my best images so far in my photography experience.
