My favorite reflection photo is, "Shopping With Reflections". Over the weekend I went shopping with my family up in Birch Run. We were up there for my sister's soccer game and decided to go shopping after. While we were walking I caught my reflection in a window and took the picture. Personally I love the bright surroundings with the black outline of my body in the center. This photo just looks appealing and makes me curious when I look at it. Not being able to see any of the persons features, makes you produce questions like: Who is that? Where did they just go shopping? I think this photo would have been better if I made the background a little less distracting. The first thing you see in the photo is the black figure, but after looking at that for awhile you might look around and see the cars and other boxes. Overall, I feel like this photo is really good and has the potential to be even better in the future when I'm looking to take more reflection photos.
My favorite shadow photo is, "Gone Biking". Over the weekend my sister and I went on a little bike ride through the neighborhood. It was a beautiful, sunny day, which is perfect for a calm bike ride. At the point I took the picture, the sun was behind us and it created a cool shadow of a person on a bike. This is my favorite shadow photo because I like having the object, in this case my sister on a bike, and the shadow in the same photo. I also like the variety of colors and the fact that the background isn't distracting. If I could retake this photo, the only thing I would maybe change is the angle of which I took the photo. I could maybe experiment a bit and take a photo looking straight down or from a distance. Overall, I still think this photo is exceptional and really shows how you can use shadows in photography.
