Personal Background
Colby Brown is a world famous landscape photographer. He started photography back in 2006 and has been in the photography field for 13 years. During his career, Brown has visited more then 80 countries and has images from all seven continents. Brown is based out of Eastern Pennsylvania. He is one of the most influential photographers today with just under four million followers on social media. With this fame, he helps with marketing campaigns for big companies like Sony and Samsung. Brown is a Sony Artisan of Imagery, an X-Rite Coloratti, and a G-Technology G-Team Ambassador and is also connected with many others.
Style
Brown's style isn't just snapping a simple landscape photo. He tries to not just capture the beautiful landscape, but also trying to add a story behind the picture. Brown also makes the colors of the landscape or on animals really pop out to gain attention to the viewers eyes. He tends to have a warmth effect on most of his pictures which bring out the bright warm colors. Being a landscape photographer he has to travel for most pictures which adds to his personality with taking pictures and capturing photos most people won't see in their life.
Philosophy
Brown was always that kid who would spend hours playing outside. He believes you should do what brings you peace with yourself. An example includes, for awhile of Brown's life he lived in Colorado because "the mountains brought peace with myself", Brown said in an interview for photographer of the month. In most of Brown's photographs, he tries to capture the beauty of the Earth with his landscape photos. It's pretty clear why he became a big influencer after looking at some of his pictures in his gallery.
Influences
Colby Brown has really influenced me in my photography work in several ways. First, if you don't like what you see right away, go adventure the world and you can find really cool things. Sometimes I just go outside and snap quick pictures but that doesn't really have meaning to me. Now I will do my part and adventure or go on a walk and find or experience new things which could leave a remarkable memory. Secondly, I will include as much color as I can in my landscape photos because after looking at Brown's photos, I loved his use of color.
